Why I Chose Nutrition
However, after an internship at a local hospital, I realized that so many individuals were struggling with issues and comorbidities associated with nutrition. No one discussed how they could improve their health by changing their nutrition and fitness habits. This experience fueled my passion for educating others about food, nutrition, and physical activity. I quickly began researching other career options that would allow me to help others achieve their health and fitness goals, which is what led me to pursue Nutrition.
FOOD IS FOUNDATIONAL TO LIFE
I have always striven to be active and eat healthy in my own life, plus I just really love food! Food is foundational to life and is what empowers our bodies to do great things. We are constantly surrounded by and hear so many different things related to food and nutrition, and quite frankly, it is so overwhelming!
It is so easy to lose focus on the simple nature of nutrition and health. And by overcomplicating everything, we oftentimes just throw in the towel and give up.
